    Don't Give Up, Or Quit

    "So let's not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don't give up, or quit. Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all." -- Galatians 6:9-10, The Message You'll note that in the quote above it doesn't say "at the time that we want we will harvest a good crop." It says "at the right time." Have faith, my friends. Keep doing good, even when the shit is flying around yo

    Decide to Confide, so I'm on Your Side

    "If you are thinking about doing a thing, you ought to make up your mind if you are going to do it, or not do it." -- Malcolm X, The Autobiography of Malcolm X, p. 265 As the old adage goes, actions speak louder than words. As a lawyer, I'm keenly aware that the Court thinks in largely similar terms: what did one party do or fail to do versus what did the opposing party do or fail to do? In Court, your actions (or failure to act) will speak volumes about your interests

    Dear God, Help Us All

    "Don't waste your time on useless work, mere busywork." -- Ephesians 5:11, The Message To all you people of Philadelphia (and beyond), I urge you to read Ephesians, chapter 5. Just click the link in the quote above. I sincerely pray with my whole heart and soul that my clients and the opposing parties of their cases read and follow verse 21. Just earlier today I was copied on an email, in which an opposing party wrote to my client: "you are a fool and will always be a fo

    The Society in Which We Live

    "Challenge, warn, and urge your people. Don't ever quit. Just keep it simple." -- 2 Timothy 4:2, The Message We live in a society that is drenched with information and images. As such, we've become completely desensitized to all but the most brutal, extreme and inhumane. We live in a society characterized by a capitalist economy. As such, we're constantly aware of competition of products, competition for our attention, and -- more to the point -- we sense the compet

    Sacrificios => Triunfo

    "Para el logro del triunfo siempre ha sido indispensable pasar por la senda de los sacrificios." -- Simón Bolívar Si usted está en esta senda, pues sigue caminando. Recuerde este dicho y mantenga una larga vista, sabiendo que los sacrificios fortalecen a uno y al fin le hace más dulce el triunfo cuando ya está logrado. En mi propio camino, tuve que pasar por algunos sacrificios en los últimos años, que me hizo sentir muy débil por un buen rato antes de que me hizo sent
