Honoring Those Who Died While Serving
Although today is a holiday, I won't say "Happy Memorial Day" since the purpose of the holiday is to remember and honor those men and women who died while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.
My grandfather served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. And my father-in-law and one of my brothers-in-law also served in the U.S. Navy as well. Fortunately my grandfather survived the Pacific theater of World War II to return home to his family. And my father-in-law and brother-in-law are still alive today, having returned home after their service also.
But for their comrades-in-arms who died in the line of service, all for the sake of our freedom and liberty, I humbly salute them today and say thank you.
