Philadelphia politician ignoring PA Constitution

The Pennsylvania Constitution, Article II, Section 7 states: "No person hereafter convicted of embezzlement of public moneys, bribery, perjury or other infamous crime, shall be eligible to the General Assembly, or capable of holding any office of trust or profit in this Commonwealth."

On October 31, 2018, you were convicted of seven (7) criminal offenses, including bribery. Then, on November 30, 2018, you were sentenced to 23 months of probation and ordered to pay $4,000 in restitution. See criminal docket report here.

Per the language of the state Constitution, then, you are now no longer "capable of holding any office of trust . . . in this Commonwealth."

Yet, as of the time of this writing, you have not resigned from office.

Why not? Are you just trying to get paid (at taxpayers' expense) for as long as possible until you are forced out of office? Please respond in writing.

Thank you.
