Pray Harder, Brothers and Sisters

Many times I've cried,

But I justify to myself that at least I tried.

Many times I've sinned,

And oh how I'd like to release that to the wind.

Life is a long and winding trail:

What are you seeking? Is it good or is it gold?

In order to succeed, sometimes you first must fail,

But please don't tell me that your soul to the Devil you've sold.

"Don't quit in hard times; pray all the harder,"

Keep putting one foot in front of the other, we don't need a martyr.

Let's eat our daily bread and drink some wine,

Look to the west and you'll see that everything's gonna be just fine.
