One in 7 billion

Right now, at this very moment, there are over 7 billion human minds that are operating around the world. Literally, right now as you read this. It's like 7 billion computers that are constantly working, either actively conscious or in sleep mode, but never off.

It's easy to get caught up in looking at the world through your own set of eyes, since that's our default setting. Or, put differently, it's hard to fully fathom that your thoughts, which are a product of your sensory experiences, are just 1 way to see the world versus 7 billion others.

You = 1

Everyone else in the world = 7,600,000,000+

To be clear, I'm not trying to make anyone feel small. My point is that we should all have a healthy respect for the viewpoints of others, even and especially those from other countries and cultures.

Just as we can admire the immensity of the universe, while still having pride in our own little corner of the world, we can each respect the different ways that people see and experience the world, while maintaining the dignity and virtue in our own individual perspectives.
