Here are the resolutions for the city of Philadelphia in 2016:
We WILL:
dispose of our trash properly
speak like ladies and gentlemen in public places
give up our seats to elderly or women with young children
hold doors open for those behind us
say "good morning" and "thank you" to each other
condemn the sin, but not the sinner
show mercy and forgiveness to one another
look for and ask for help when we need it
help others when we see that they need help
endeavor to live and eat healthy
try to challenge our boundaries by being friendly with people whom we wouldn't normally think to be friendly with
hold our families, friends, and neighbors to task if they talk or act in ways unbecoming of a good Philadelphian
continue to grow and prosper, in ways that are positive and productive, for ourselves and for the city
We will NOT:
dispose of our trash in the streets
use foul or obscene language in public places
judge others who disagree with us
use violence or threats as a way of dealing with our problems
talk or act like adolescents, for those of us who are grown adults
elect or support corrupt individuals in public office
give up on the Eagles, Sixers, Phillies, or Flyers
